When we have evidence that a treatment works, that is what we will use with our clients. We use evidence-based approaches and adapt them to each client. No one is exactly the same and all treatments need to be adapted to your particular life and needs. 


Effective treatment starts by getting to know you as an individual. We start therapy by learning about your unique situation and life history. In the beginning, it is important for you to determine if you feel comfortable with your therapist or would prefer to seek another. The most important part of treatment is the relationship between yourself and your therapist. If it feels like a good fit, we will then collaboratively create a plan for change and set goals for treatment. 

Seeking counseling can feel unsettling. Sharing your thoughts, feelings, and life history can be challenging. Your therapist will strive to create an environment that feels supportive and caring.  We will always respect your choices in this journey of change while focusing on research informed techniques to improve your life.
